How to nominate

Use the council’s online nomination form. You can nominate for one award per form. You will need:

  • your contact details and the nominee’s
  • a photo of the nominee, ideally a jpg under 5MB
  • evidence against each of the award’s criteria

The form has no word limit, but the council suggests writing your answers in another document first, in case the form times out. Each category lists its criteria on the awards page, and a nominee has to meet them to be shortlisted.

Key dates

What it means for you

If someone runs your child’s football team, coaches a walking group or has kept a club going for years, this is a free way to get them recognised. If your nominee is shortlisted, the council’s sports development team will contact you about ceremony invitations.

Councillor Elizabeth Gant, vice chair of the council’s environment, sustainability, culture and sport committee, said the awards were a chance “to celebrate those helping to make Richmond one of London’s most active boroughs”.
