Free Beatles & Music Memorabilia valuations at The Mitre, East Molesey, on Saturday 31 October, 10am to 4pm, with free entry and parking. A second day runs in Elstree.
If there is a box of old concert tickets in your loft, or a signed programme that came to you with a relative’s house, you can have it looked at for nothing this Saturday, just across the river from Hampton Court Palace.
TRACKS, a company that specialises in buying music memorabilia, is holding a free Beatles & Music Memorabilia Valuation Day at The Mitre Hotel in East Molesey on Saturday 31 October, from 10am to 4pm. It runs a second day at The Manor Elstree the next day, Sunday 1 November, at the same times.
Entry and parking are free at both, and the company says the valuations are free and carry no obligation to sell.
The two days
- East Molesey: Saturday 31 October, 10am to 4pm, Orangery Room, The Mitre Hotel, Hampton Court Road, East Molesey, KT8 9BN
- Elstree: Sunday 1 November, 10am to 4pm, Beaufort Room, The Manor Elstree, Barnet Lane, Elstree, WD6 3RE
- Cost: free entry, free parking, free valuation
- Booking: none mentioned; the company’s listings say to bring items along
What they want to see
The Beatles are in the name, but TRACKS deals in other bands too and says it is interested in music-related items of all kinds. Its list runs to:
- signed memorabilia and autographs
- original photographs
- concert posters and handbills
- tickets and programmes
- handwritten lyrics and letters
- instruments and stage-used items
- clothing and other music-related items
- whole collections
“The days are particularly relevant to people who have inherited memorabilia, are clearing a house or estate, have collections tucked away in their lofts, or have always wondered what their music treasures might be worth,” the company told Richmond Online.
It thinks there is plenty of that about. “We believe there could be a great local-interest story here, particularly around the fascinating items people may have kept for decades without realising their potential value,” TRACKS said.
What to expect on the day
The company’s event listing puts it simply: “Whether you’ve been collecting for years, have inherited memorabilia, are clearing a house or estate, or simply have something you’re curious about, bring it along and let us take a look.”
TRACKS is a buyer, so a valuation there is also a chance for it to make you an offer. You do not have to accept one: the company describes the valuations as no-obligation. If you are weighing up an offer for something you think is special, it is worth knowing what similar items have fetched elsewhere before you decide.
Details of both days are on the TRACKS listings for East Molesey and Elstree, and on the company’s Facebook event page.
