Richmond's Family Fireworks Night is Sunday 1 November 2026 at Richmond Athletic Ground. Gates 4.30pm, display 7pm, and early bird prices end on 30 September.

Bonfire night falls on Thursday 5 November 2026, but Richmond’s display does not. It runs on the Halloween weekend before it, on Sunday 1 November 2026 at Richmond Athletic Ground on Twickenham Road, TW9 2SF.

Tickets went on public sale on 1 September and early bird prices end on Wednesday 30 September. The ground says the event has sold out in each of the last four years, in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, and that grandstand tickets are always the first to go.

There are no tickets on the gate. Every ticket has to be bought in advance, including for children under five.

Note the two cut-offs. Nobody is admitted after 6.30pm, and no vehicle gets in after 6pm even with parking booked. If you are driving, the ground asks you to arrive by 5.55pm.

An under-five going in with a grandstand ticket holder has to sit on the adult’s knee or have a grandstand ticket of their own. Tickets scan from a phone, so there is no need to print anything.

Is it themed?

Yes, and it is worth knowing before you take small children. The ground describes it as a Halloween Spooktacular, with a Halloween-themed display choreographed to music by Phoenix Fireworks. Live entertainment starts at 5.30pm; the acts had not been named when we checked.

The funfair, more than 20 food and drink stalls and the 1861 BBQ are all back. Expect burgers, pizza, Chinese food, crepes, churros, doughnuts, hot drinks and mulled wine, plus licensed bars. The bars take card only. The funfair and some independent stalls may take cash.

You cannot bring your own food or drink in. Empty water bottles are allowed and can be refilled at the bar.

Parking, and why you should not

Parking is £10, limited, and must be booked in advance. The car park opens at 4.15pm and can only be entered from Twickenham Road, the A316 side. Blue Badge parking exists but is limited and needs reserving; the ground asks for proof by email to admin@the-raa.co.uk.

The better answer is the train. Richmond rail and Underground station is less than a five-minute walk. Turn right out of the station, cross the A316, turn left, and the ground is about 50 yards along on the right. Buses 33, 490, H22, R68 and R70 stop nearby.

Before you arrive

  • Allow extra time for ticket scanning and bag searches
  • Sparklers and other fireworks are not allowed in
  • Dogs are not allowed, except guide dogs
  • Tickets are non-refundable
  • There is a dedicated viewing platform for wheelchair users, and a marked meeting point for lost children on the site map

Anywhere else in the borough?

Not on this scale, and not confirmed. The Petersham and Ham Sea Scouts display at Douglas House Meadow and the RNLI charity fireworks at The Anglers in Teddington have both run in past years, but on 5 September 2026 the VisitRichmond listings for both were marked as passed with no new date, and the Teddington Town events page still advertised a school display from 2018.
